The Watchers

Taking my turn

To look through the Scrying Glass

As my given

Time candle burns

Whenever I see

You

I miss you

Like the Sun

Misses the Moon

On a cloudy Sunday

Afternoon

Miss

Your sweet smile

As wide as a country mile

Miss

Your voice

And tender tones

To beguile

.

And as my time candle

Burns

Low

As Jerome

Nods

Waiting his go

In that brief

Nanosecond

We share a linked

Thought

That we all know

As much as the

Living miss

The Dead

We too

Miss those

Tranquil moments

Left for all

Eternity

Unsaid

Relationship Flaws

 The Human Experience

Part 1

Relationship Flaws

Into the circle of fire

I stepped

Hoping

To be baptised

With Love

And sex

Only to feel

Lonely

Used

And abused

As my

Lover

Moved on

To the next

Salute.

The Reformed Soul

Last time

I saw you

Calling my way

Was the sixth

Of May

And oh lord

You had so

Much to say

Cos you

Sure loved

Complaining

Where you

At

Who you with

Time you home

But Mary

It's a leap of faith

When loves hand

You blindly take

For there's so much

Middle ground

To help forget old

Mistakes

For real hearts

Do really break

When there's no hope

Of

Escape

But from Sacramento

To the green hills

In Rome

I know I promised

To try

To

Make it home

That last night

Before our big

Fight

But little

By Little

You kept

Firing your

Lips pistols

Making

My soul itch

Like Scotch Fiddle

So here

Tonight

Now

I'm in the Great In-Between

After

Floating out of

That cold old hospital

After taking

Too much white powder

And liquor

I know I did promise

I'd visit

So

In spirit

Here I am

And in these words

Remember

That young man

The young man

You once knew

And met

In The Shady Lady Saloon

In Sacramento

On that lovely Sunday

Afternoon

Before our world

Turned black and

Blue

So I'm just calling by

To say goodbye

For Terri Anne

My spirit guide waits

To take me

To the Lords

Great Halls

To stand

Once more tall

Before my last ever

Fateful fall

Don't go blaming

Yourself

I ain't complaining

Put away those pistols

And try to stop

Hurting

This is my last kiss

Before

In that Great Hall

I pull back the red stage curtain

You'll be ok

Of this

I'm certain

Just

Remember me

The man

Who you  once met

On that

Unforgettable

Sunday afternoon

In The

Shady Lady Saloon

The Stocks of Love

 We once walked unbeaten

Like unashamed lovers

In our mysterious

Garden of Eden

With soft smiles

Hands held tight

With a glint of Heaven

In our eyes

Every day and night

When we surveyed

Our New Kingdom

In ecstatic delight

But time and the heavy

Baggage of life

Stuck

Fates razor sharp

Ritualistic knife

Called

Lady Mistrust

Into the twin red balloons

Floating above us

That served as our

Unbreakable bond

Mine blew away

On June the fourth

And flew North

After yours

In May

Up to Somewhere

Where the

Starlings play

But

Oh how we had

Some fun

Though

Minds kept

Sharp

With emotions

Running hot

As our thoughts

Entwined

Underneath the

Midnight sun

So now with

Lips and voice

Unused

Mind

Bashful and bruised

I retreat

Into this

Great darkness

To stand

Sad and

Handcuffed

By the side of the other

Low men and women

In this new grey world

Swimming with

Father Darkness

In the shadows

Standing

Still

With nowhere to go

As his Devils sing

From high rocks

Their endless verse

Urging me to join

Their huge chorus line

"This is the price

Of love

Of our Brethren

When heartbreak

Consumes

Your soul

And holds

You in our

Eternal stocks

To line up

In the cold

And sing

To sing

The pain out.

This is the price

Of love

Of our Brethren

When heartbreak

Consumes

Your soul

And holds

You in our

Eternal stocks

To line up

In the cold

And sing

To sing

The pain out"

Freedom

Have you tasted the black wine

Of trying to live a life

Through rivers

Of fast flowing

Desolation

And one filled with a marching Mariachi band

Playing the Vihuela and Guitarrón

Taking turms

Singing about your pain

As they play on

And on

About living a life

With nothing to gain

Surrounded by

Kukulkan dark soldiers

Of an unseen nation

From

The Great In-Between

Chanting mantras of shame

With

Coniunge ordines nostros et inveniet libertatem

(Join our ranks and find freedom)

Living a life without emancipation

Blamed

Like a new Eve

For all bad things

Conceived

Lost in a schism of time

Hovering like a Hummingbird

Between the fluctuating streams

Of two worlds

As they burn

Like blue and green

paper cups

Broken dreams

Of love

Hope and peace

Even yellow cups of sadness with no release

This prophetic dream

Of a Paradise Lost

I am shut down with

Every night

As I shudder in the cold

As that familiar story

Like a dark Hollywood picture

Unfolds

But there is a new calling

A new voice

Summoning my soul

With soft sounds of

 Keep going

For soon you'll find

Victory and peace

I hear her whispering to my centrepiece

A haunting place

Of grey walls

Now echoing

Within audacious dreams

With her sweet voice

Above the noise

Of Kukulkan dark soldiers

Reluctantly

Retreating and screaming

As I follow her voice to freedom

To open new doors

So happiness

Can come
