Memories of Clementine

 (A lone voice whispers.)

I still see you

As time goes by

As true to self

As starlings fly

In the night sky

A pure soul

Alive by God's decree

In my mind's eye

And it stirs

Such elegant memories

As your drum beats

Taking me

To old happier places

As seconds flow

As straight as a crow

Where we meet

Under a never-ending sun

For memories

Like love

Never truly dies

And like a sweet poetic kiss

Underneath a rare midnight sun

Always remember

Whatever you may hear

On the grapevine

I'll always treasure

The time you were mine

For what we had

Many can't define

Because ours

Was the storyline

Of

The Meeting of The Mage and His Concubine
