The Lone Wanderer
I still miss her
Deep inside
Below
The facade
Bravado and jest
Deeper still
It's my unswallowable
Pill
The last time
I saw her
Was eight
At the
Piccadilly station
She seemed so
Happy
Carefree and full
Of smiles
That was
Ten years ago
Before she
Lost her patience
A sad indicator
Of how life changes and
Relentlessly flows
And the inner
Turmoil
That inevitably
Grows
She's gone now
To newer
Places
Met a new guy down
At York races
Me
I'm still living
In a world
Of Long Goodbyes
A reverie of endless
Sonnets
From
Ever-growing souls
Who beseech and cry
