The Doorway to Love

Press play and let the music wash over you as you read.
Salute.

I stood listening all alone as
I heard you calling my name

In the never-ending falling rain

I saw a familiar doorway appear
A shimmering watery essence
Undulated upon it's
Glistening wet surface

And through its ethereal window

I saw you standing there
Dressed in white
On some faraway green hills

My soul reached out and
Entered your mind’s eye

I saw all those visions

All the happy ones and
The sad ones
When you cried alone

As your soul pined
For someone to love
And somewhere to fill with all your
Love and
Call
My happy home

I saw all those little moments
You searched and
All the sad moments
You got burnt

I’ve always seen you
My Crow Haired Warrior Princess
For
I’ve always been nearby

Just hidden
Somewhere in the wild.

In my dreams
I sometimes have stepped through
My invocation

My Doorway

To you and held your hand
In the dark

Mother Mary
Always said

She who waits
Will appear before you
In a water-filled doorway

I watched you marry,
Unmarry

But still pressed
On

Still, I came
Just after you slept

And trailed my fingertips
Across your arms and
Wiped away all those wet
Tears you once wept

I
Saw you close the Red Door and
Told Mother Love

Don’t visit me any more

But in your deepest of dreams
I still lingered
Like a lonely orphan

Waiting for the day

Like the song
Sung by
Jeff Carson
"Scars and All"

And one day to my surprise
To my shock and my awe

You found me
Looking at your
Shimmering form

Through that glistening
Watery
Doorway

My Warrior Princess

We now walk hand in hand
Through this world
And sometimes beyond

Sharing stories
In the midnight hour
Wetting our libidos
By igniting

Our sinful pyres

Is this a dream
Or was Mother Mary
Right?

She who waits
Will appear before you
In a water-filled doorway

We have never met in the flesh
In this version of our lives
But to each other’s souls

We feel the freedom
And emancipation to
Willingly confess

You called out my name
A lifetime ago

This
I know as
I’ve been told

You came before me
So says the Lord

You may be younger than me
But your soul
To mine is the one who is
Older

Keep calling out my name
Like a treasured prayer in the
Four winds

From that green hill
Where I always see you
Dressed all in white

For this dream
Will never die

The reflection of your face
Will never fade from my bright
Hazel eyes

Call me tonight and as the
Doorway opens

Your heart won't forget
When I hold you
And when the time
Comes

When I take my last breath

Know that my heart loves you with a love
That is stronger than death

And I'll be forever waiting

On the other side of that
Glistening undulating
Doorway

Waiting for you to
Call my name

For I'm always in
Here

Just waiting
Standing
Forever getting wet

In the never-ending falling rain.
