Whispers in the silence

Just as painful memories

Within the hidden and carefully compartmentalized cells

In my complicated mind

Calls

Soon as the dark shroud of night

Falls

When the world is rendered all serene and speechless

Just before Morpheus The God of Sleep

Arrives

With his eternal Suitcase of Dreams

He's carried from The Great In-Between

To hypnotize

With sweet truths and lies

All that sleeps

Unseen

Every day

Every hour

Every moment in my power

I’m always thinking of you

My beautiful Queen

The one I once met

As I walked alone

By The Red Churches

Black Wrought Iron Old Gates

Like it was our preordained fate
