The Oneironaut

A person who explores dream worlds, usually associated with lucid dreams?

Do you lucid dream?

(A lone voice whispers)

Through the blue portal of slumber

Into the Abyss of Dreams

I've wondered

To live in one of my other lives without number

To see strange people

Hear new music

And all things as they come into sight

I've seen angels and demons

Felt love a light

Prayed for daybreak as darkness shrieked

Into the long night

Walked in knee high rivers of madness

Watched grey skies filled with rolling purple clouds of sadness

Rain on empty cities

Below

I've flown

High up into the skies

Seen people once dead

Smile

As when I last saw them

When to life

They were wed

With its illuminated flame

Seen the Dark Schism

Where the darkness hides and rolls its dice

As it takes aim

At the profane

Unfathomable things with no name

Sat with lines of people

And talked into the night about the need for spirit cleansing

And to keep

Reinvention

As your souls only goal and transformation

Heard whispers and cries

Rise

Like thunder

In lightning filled skies

Ran through wild forest

Chased by Sisters of the Grove

For they knew I lived

So left their Cove

Found love in the arms of a lady I once knew

But now cut through

Like dead branches

It's a place I adore

When I appear

And always pray to go to

I've drunk deep from Pandora's fountain

Tasted raw pain

As I stood in gigantic mountains in never-ending rain

Walked with Kings

Princes

Queens and normal folk

Been a leader

And the class fool

The village joke

And when morning calls

As I'm summoned to walk

The smoke filled tapestried

halls

Of Morpheus the Greek

Who watches

Hanging like a painting on the yellow and alabaster walls

I try to recall all I've seen

While visiting

The Great In-Between

The sounds

The people

Walking its grounds

Then I remember

In 24 hours

I return again

To the smoke filled Vista

Filled with people and things that may have once lived

Or existed

And step back through the veil of the Blue Portal

To once more live again

24 hours

Of being mortal

Memories of Lucy Mountbatten

(A lone voice whispers)

From Heavens thunderbolt
Igniting my eyes alight

Like the burning nebulous envelope

Around the nucleus of Halley's Comet

That night
In 85

When I finally came alive
And opened my eyes
Thinking

What strange powers unseen
Did the Olde Gods use to create her

To walk
Unashamed
In the midst of mortal man

With a sweet volcano
Of such raging seductive fire

That never tires

Elevated to new heights of sensuality by a delicate touch of divinity

Which exists within all her fingertips

With such power

With a softness to beguile
If you allow her

To touch you
With such supernatural style

I still remember her alluring eyes of honeydew
So deep

Spelunker's would weep

Skin and lips
So soft

Descartes
Would confuse
Science with maths

Towpaths and footpaths
Must have filled Heavens chorus lines

With angels to watch

When his new creation stepped out of the endless evolutionary lines

And into the presence of The Great Divine

My tears still fall like black rocks into a bottomless lake

Leaving me stagnant
In it's grey wake

When I look back
And reminisce

About our last kiss

For my Queen
Lucy Mountbatten

Still lives within me
With profound passion

For even though she was took out by the assassin

Sent by King Samhain

Our sweet love will never go out of fashion

The Dominions

Title:

The Dominions

(A lone voice whispers)

Weeping

Angels like us

The Dominions

Watching and praying

In the ethereal dust

As mankind sins

Open up our feathered wings

To offer hope to those

Who hears

these lines

Our presence brings

As we sing

We offer hope and eternal glory

To those

Who want to rewrite

Their life story

To just helping the broken heal

As we stand

Just hidden

From your vision

Concealed

Babylon Dreams

 Press Play.

Foundation of the piece.

A lonely soul dreams of the past while looking in the mirrors of introspection.

Do you sometimes reflect on what has come and been lost, in those priceless quiet moments?

I wrote this today and slightly altered it. If you have already read it.

Salute.

Title:

Babylon Dreams

The lone poet alone

And old

Like a white feather

Blowing in all weathers

From the deep Spring of emotions

To the Summer-land of devotion

Briefly landing with Autumn leaves before shattering into a millions verbs

In the Winters deep

freeze

Always remembers

Each and every December

Before the snow

The Greatest of all Picture Shows

When she was young

Wild with her own truth and reason

Racing through all seasons

Urged on by

Poetic music

Aplenty

Shared with first love when she was twenty

But now always cold

She prays she remembers

How she once smiled

She looks in the mirror

Seeing how age has taken her smile away

How life has banished her Garden of Eden filled with such things

She remembers

Every day

Puck lost in

Midsummer Night Dreams

King Solomon

Huckleberry Fin

Oberon

Bluebeard

And so many

Memorable things

She prays to the High Lords of The Faery

To rescind old age

Which has made her wary

To step into a new Babylon

Of stories and poetry

Of muses

Confusion

Mystics and heretics

To climb hedges and ditches

Dance with angels and witches

Count gold with dwarves and elves

As they show themselves

But like every other night

With the hanging moon in sight

She knows that old magic is nearly gone

But still she dreams

Dreams with an indomitable heart

To wander lost

Like a lone ghost

In her new vision of Babylon
