Can you get infatuated by someone you've never met?

Can you get infatuated by someone you've never met but in-between?

When
The bright fireflies

Enlightened the blackness

Into a total
Stygian darkness.

As I dreamed a deep

Dream

I ran.

Running like the autumns thunder
Chased me

Into the darkest of October nights.

With my mind's eyes firmly
Fixed upon you

In the distance.

I saw your bedroom lights on
In my ethereal Doorway

Distant but still
Burning so bright.

What strange power has
Compelled me to love
You so.

What has summoned
This taste of paradise that
Dante’s Paradiso

Burns so deep.

Like a volcano's burning hot
Pyre.

For inside I now
Just smile
Forever.

Always aglow.

That hint of a shimmer of
Paradise
Within your dark eyes.

Makes a man’s beating heart and
Soul weep.

For
I'm only made of
Flesh and blood.

Especially whenever
I feel lonely and emotionally
Weak.

But your seductive words
And hypnotic powers

Just lift me up and
Drive me wild

Your spells upon my indomitable
Soul

Cast upon me
Do beguile.

For inside and behind
Your delicate eyes
I know.

There's a white room
In there waiting

Filled with similar candles and
A black leather chair where
Only I truly exist.

It’s a place
I send my beloved gift
From the Almighty.

My soul
Nightly.

To stand safe.
Within this strange
Worlds

Ever-swirling dark mists.

For whenever these old
Emotional tears quietly fall
In this Stygian darkness.

What your eyes cannot fathom
But I think deep
Down you understand.

I'll always belong
To just thee.

For
I never sought
To get so deeply
Embedded within your mind.

All those years ago

I never wanted to mark you

With my white candle wax
To think of me
All the time.

But I’m just a man
Of flesh and blood.

Wading knee-deep in
Humanities
Deluge and mud.

So it may be like the call of the beast.

Wild and ravenous for
A thirst for answers.

Blowing in the four winds
But especially from the East.

Are we just star-struck lovers
Lost upon a sometimes lonely

Yellow moonlit beach.

And sometimes
The only way we can light our way
In the darkness

Is to talk to our soul flame.
Even if they are just out of reach.

Is that why
God just sent you to me

To simply teach
