For Celine

Press play before reading. Salute.

(A lone voice whispers in the dark at 3 am)

Celine my beautiful nurse

This is for you and I can only pray and hope it gets through

For your delicate graceful touches were once so beautiful and incredibly captivatingly soothing

They always seemed to play a delightful melody to vanquish all my mortal fears

Like the rarest of heavenly sunsets that emerges with a twinkling smile in the midst of pink and red frontiers

When time itself appears to stop flexing and moving

Swirling above me like a god-like deity in a newly lit sky

Your memories are the quintessence of glamour in a night-time high society ball

Filled with dancing masked courting fireflies

Who once watched your every fluid movement in jaw-dropping awe

When they paused to rest on one of those hospital's beautifully wallpapered walls

A rare evening serenading the gathering of a few enamored sad spirits

Where honored souls gathered in their best blue dresses and bespoke white suits

To readily soothe any distress

Your tender soft hands

I can always remember

Moved like Mother Moon gently over my trembling horizons

Whispering my secret name and claiming me as your domain

For at that moment we became consummate devotees and no longer just worldly friends

A bright new light lit up a brave new world

A blazing beacon always breathed into night and never to be lost in those memories of delicious soft touches in that spectacular twilight

Under the keen gaze of your total devotion

I could only reflect my love and gratitude in my hazel colored lens

As the impending darkness surrounded us like an old friend

Your name still sings a lasting symphony of happiness

And lingers in the celestial as angels watch and smile

No man-made treaties or paper laws or masks can separate us

For now, your memories in the Midnight Sun

Wildly run

I'll never lose this particular twilight and these baptized rays will never lose their red and pink hue

For when we first met
I'll always remember that I willingly sunk knee-deep into your green and blue

Since in that magical transference of spiritual energy circling within your eyes

I knew in that metaphysical moment

Why God had sent me as you came into view

And it's why now

I'll always just belong to you

My angel in the darkness called Celine

A beautiful nurse who was once my queen
