A Call to Mary

Press play and let the music wash over you as you read.

 (A lone voice whispers)

My precious Mary Louise

If you're listening

You're still the fabulous coveted cascade of warm emotions

Within this new life

My beloved darling wife

That I still want to touch

Hold and pray to every night

To just dream about

Life may have knocked me down and out

But I just want to be filled and brimming over

With all those crazy mesmerising dreams

For your exceptional memories still have the raw power

To conjure up such tranquillity and pure joy

Day in and day out

A heaven-sent means to melt this huge iceberg

Embracing the very fabric of my so sad soul

And trying to hold me like a helpless prisoner

In one of my many deeply hidden underground streams

All the passing season's ethereal love songs

I still sometimes hear in here

Lost in the throes of Spring

Summer Autumn and Winter

But particularly at Christmas

Are just filled with heartfelt choruses

That reminds me of that soft eternal kiss

Of your exquisite sweet red lips

An incredible moment that left a fingerprint on my heart's clean window

That even after all these passing years

Still glows

A brief taste of something so magical beyoƱd all my comprehension

That offered me so much hope and a chance of divine redemption

But now I'm like a lone prisoner in this Great In-Between

Which some others in here call the 5th Dimension

And it's that old assurance of our eventual return

I'll always miss

Since our unspoken pact to be together forever

Still sings a sweet symphony into Heavens silvery mists

A divine melody of unchained excitement

To break all chains of my everlasting confinement

And like whispers of an abundance of carnal lyrics and captivating poetry

Filled with joyous lines of a pain-free existence

Merged and infused with surreal magic at its deep centre

Moving freely with no resistance

It sings its own mesmerising verses

From the opened mouths of ethereal silhouettes

Swirling all around me as I

In The Great In-Between

Weep

For I always hear your soul’s deep calls

Asking me to appear and hold on to you forever

Before this treacherous glass Astral bridge

Between two realms

I now stand upon

As I try to appear to claim you

Breaks and falls

And as the dark slippery shadow people advance

In my deep dreams

I always stand in awe and watch in a hypnotic trance

As you perform your sensuous sword dance

To announce to the watching spirits guides

Pagan Gods

Angels and even lower vibrational devils

Our old preordained romance still has a chance

Even as they all watch and advance

Over these dire glass bridges and landscapes

As the world nearly halts due to this Covid 19 pandemic

Which could soon send her to me early

Through strange mitigating circumstances

My Goddess

My Queen

My mystical lover and soulmate

I still dream of from here

In the dark recesses of The Great In-Between
