Whispers at 2 AM

 Press play before reading.

Salute.

(A lone voice whispers.)

Love and sorrow are as one

This I know

For even as the sky

The winds and snow

Just like

Some of Mother Nature's mesmerizing things

Which can never be outrun

Like those walking on Desolation Row

I have felt both

Rode those two crazy boats

Until I became this ghost

Clinging on

Steadfastly

From love to sorrow

Coast to Coast

Filled with wild hopes and desires

Powered on

By a surety bond

Relentlessly

By a silent knowledge

Of a strange fire

From The Great Beyond

But like baby seeds

Dreaming of birth

Beneath the Sun's blazing fire

To grow

Waiting

Deep below

Within the Earth

With a heart dreaming of a new spring

A new rebirth

I too

Am waiting for those hidden golden bells to ring

To start of freedom

Sing

But I still just die every time

I think of you

Just floating metaphorically

Alone

Into the fading blue

Like a white feather

Blowing

Lonely in the cold winds

Beneath a heartless sky

Which always seems to be standing

Smiling and watching

In all weathers

Only to then melt into the early morning Sun

For all things

All said and done

What is it to escape breathing

When you have no loved ones

Or tall tales to be spun

But to find freedom in here

A new kingdom

In The Great In-Between

One that rises and falls with the tides of mortal goodbyes

If it could be seen

For when you walk in these shallow rivers of Silence

To endlessly die

To taste its sweet musk of defiance

As you cry

You too shall sing

Like me

Oh Hosanna

Oh Hosanna

To reach the mountain

top

You too shall begin to pray to climb

Oh Hosanna

Oh Hosanna

To take a sip

From Absolutions Ceremonial Silver Cup

For when you reach rock bottom

Oh Hosanna

Oh Hosanna

The only way

Oh Hosanna

Oh Hosanna

Dear reader

Is up

Oh Hosanna

Oh Hosanna
