Are you blessed, my child?

 (A lone voice whispers)

Are we, poets

Writers

Singers

Entrepreneurs and so many others

Simply so charismatic

Ridiculously engaging or just totally

Enigmatic

Slightly strange to the straight card players and those obsessively

Who read or watch enticing materials

Created by the new versions of Edward Bernays

Driven by new urges

Of twenty-first century voyeurism

Promoted and hyped on the hypnotic spectrum called social media

Or are we just old travellers from just beyond the Green Hills of Avalon

Into this new age Reborn

Did our Guardian Angels

Collectively weep with profound joy when we all found our new calling

Do they still quietly hold our soft hands to comfort us

Whenever we seem to be depressed or in pain

Confused

Happy or just falling

We'll never know all those answers for they will only be revealed

When our time comes or if we are suddenly recalled

But we collectively are not just made of flesh

You know

But simply old souls

Eternally slipping and sliding

Slowly discovering new kin

Scattered throughout Old Mother Gaia's earthly mesh

Are you just like me

Another tiny beacon of divine light trying to hold back the legions and hordes

Who endlessly weave

Whilst trying to seduce or gaslighting to deceive

Reading notes from their leather-bound grimoires

Filled with black emotional spells

They mutter in the darkness and profound stillness

Can you feel that subtle electricity flowing all around you

It doesn't matter about your gender creed colour or ethnicity

Keep visiting that deep emotional well

The one you use as your true unspoken Muse

Called your Emotional Reservoir

As you peel back the many layers

And just try to be the true you

Wherever you are

Just keep creating as if you were playing a song on one of Princes

Many guitars

And paint a hit record

With visually inspired

Compelling unforgettable words

To thank the Lord

That you've been blessed with divine gifts

Which compel you to delve into and use your intellectual insights

And emotionally driven energies

To create things many avoid and choose to leave unexplored

Salute
