Oh Blessed Beltane. Oh blessed be.

Press play before reading. Salute.

Oh Blessed Beltane
Oh blessed be

(A lone voice sings)

Oh Blessed Beltane
Oh blessed be

Tonight the Queen of the Fairies

Áine

Appears on her white charger

To enchant and tempt all who wish to follow her

In her white suit of armor

To Faeryland

The Fairy Queen who comes

Rides in front for all the anointed to see

Gowned in green silk and a halo of light

Eyes aglow like woodland groves

Where no one only kin
Dare follow

For only they know

So if you see or feel a gust of wind

And hear the golden bells
Ring

Which hang from the black leather harnesses

Of the Fairy Queen's steed
As they joyously sing

It might be best to lay in the woodland hides

And you she may pass

Or you could follow
As she rides

For the Fairy Folk on Beltane

Tonight they raid

For here comes the Wild Riders From the across the Shee

So light up all the yellow hay
Like bright beacons

On Bridles Way

And ring those golden bells and yell

To guide the Named few
To cross the Fairy folk's fells

In this year

Let the Beltane fires burn

And the Maypole dances come alive

So many can sing dance and pray

Until the dawn cockerel screams

To break her Beltane spell

As Summer announces
The start of a brand new day
